The Hacking Networked Solutions patch-set for Gentoo Linux, and by
association the app-portage/auto-patch-portage package, has been
deprecated in favour of installing the Hacking Networked Solutions
overlay for Gentoo Linux [hacking-gentoo] in replace mode.  

Users of the Hacking Networked Solutions patch-set for Gentoo Linux
should create symbolic links in their etc/portage/package.{mask,unmask}
directories, as shown below...

ln -s /var/lib/layman/hacking-gentoo/masks/hacking-gentoo.package.mask \
      /etc/portage/package.mask/hacking-gentoo.package.mask
    
ln -s /var/lib/layman/hacking-gentoo/masks/hacking-gentoo.package.unmask \
      /etc/portage/package.unmask/hacking-gentoo.package.unmask

NOTE: Replace /var/lib/layman with your overlay location in the above
      commands as required.
    
...before removing the app-portage/auto-patch-portage package and
performing a complete world update.
