SentinelAgent for Gentoo
========================

This package installs SentinelOne's official prebuilt amd64 Debian archive into
/opt/sentinelone without running Debian maintainer scripts. The sentinelone
user, group, file ownerships, and OpenRC/systemd service files are managed by
Portage.

Because SentinelOne does not publish unauthenticated download URLs, download
the matching SentinelAgent_linux_x86_64_v<version>.deb installer from your
SentinelOne management console and copy it into DISTDIR (typically
/var/cache/distfiles) before emerging.

After installation, register the agent with your site or group token:

  sudo sentinelctl management token set <SITE_TOKEN>

Then enable and start the service for your init system:

  sudo rc-update add sentinelone default
  sudo rc-service sentinelone start

or on systemd:

  sudo systemctl enable --now sentinelone
