Which terms apply depends on your Claude plan (Free/Pro/Max use the
Consumer Terms; Team/Enterprise use the Commercial Terms). The upstream
Claude Desktop .deb declares "License: Proprietary" (Anthropic PBC) in its
Debian copyright file and bundles third-party components (e.g. Electron,
under the MIT/Expat license) whose notices ship inside the package
(LICENSES.chromium.html, usr/share/doc/claude-desktop/copyright).

By accepting this license (ACCEPT_LICENSE) and installing these packages
you acknowledge that the software is proprietary to Anthropic PBC and that
your use is subject to the Anthropic terms linked above. No warranty is
